Andrabi for better management of Wakaf assets, reviews functioning of Auqaf | KNO

Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today reviewed the functioning of Auqaf Islamia in a meeting held, here today.

Taking a comprehensive review of the physical and financial achievements registered by Auqaf Islamia Jammu, the Minister stressed on better upkeep of the Auqaf properties and said that these should utilized optimally. He directed the Administrator Auqaf to create durable assets including Banquet Halls, Shopping Complexes on the Wakaf land which can benefit the people and also earn revenue

He asked for better coordination between Auqaf and revenue department for proper demarcation of Auqaf land and put a check on any encroachments.

He asked to digitalize the records and detailed of the Waqf properties for its better management and streamlining the functioning 

The Minister was also informed about the physical and financial achievements of tehsil Auqaf Committees in Jammu province.

Among other, Chief Executive Officer State Waqaf Council, Administrator Aquaf, Jammu, Kathua, Bishnah, R.S. Pura, Hiranagar, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat, Administrator Aquaf Rajouri, Abdul Qayoom Dar, Administrator Aquaf Akhnoor, Aslam Din besides other administrators of Jammu province were present on the occasion.
